Northern Cyprus Republic Day 15th of November

15th November is the Independence Day of Northern Cyprus. It is celebrated all over as the Northern Cyprus Republic Day. Like all over the world, here too, the day is celebrated with a lot of ceremonies and performances. The TRNC - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was established on this day in the year 1983. A new constitution was adopted two years later.

Kurban Bayram 27th of November - 1st of December

Kurban Bayram or the Feast of Sacrifice comes two months after Seker Bayram. It is celebrated as the day of sacrifice of Ishmael by Abraham. People attend the mosque, prepare feats and enjoy with family and friends. Most people abstain from alcohol during this four day long festival.
