Victory Day 30th of August

Victory Day, also known as Zafer Bayram, is celebrated as a mark of victory of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his men against the invading Greek troops. On this day, the president and force commanders lay wreaths on the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. They are also accompanied by top generals and military cadets.

Limassol Wine Festival 1st of August - 30th of September

Limassol Wine Festival is celebrated in the Municipal Gardens of Limassol, about 55 miles from Kyrenia. Mehmetcik Grape Festival is celebrated in Galatia, Famagusta, 50 miles from Kyrenia. It is celebrated in the first week of August. One can get to taste a variety of grapes and grape products like wine, etc. A number of competitions are held for people of all age groups.
